The main goal of this project and the enquiry is to criticise the fact that we live under a structure built upon the patriarchal society. The project provides a scope for speculating a possible future society in China. Working through this project is like world-building, which led me to the foundation of creating believable content.
The webpage of AnKang Bio™ is created for curating each of body implants. By including branding, product shots, and invented narratives in the website building, I wanted to achieve an image of a large biotech corporation led by a patriarch. However, reaching a convincing appeal is not the most challenging part of this project; the sarcasm is. As stated in the enquiry, part of the goal is to mock the patriarchal society. The content on the website has already been designed with sarcastic intentions. The photographs of body implants do not fit the model perfectly; the wires are not always attached with skins, and the meaningless descriptions are only to fill out blank spaces. I aim to create tension with these details.
